Fortunate to have the best group of Den and Pack Leaders this side of Philmont Scout Ranch, Hans volunteered six years ago as a co-den leader to help his neighbor and for his oldest son son who entered scouting as a Tiger. Today, he is a fan of scouting and has seen all of his children enter Cub Scouting. Two have graduated the Cub ranks and two are still in the Pack here with 527. His favorite outings in scouting have been a weekend at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum, sleepovers on the USS Massachusetts and the USS Yorktown, a weekend at the Boston Science Museum, camping in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, and hiking through the battlefields at Cowpens and Kings Mountain.
